    Duties & Responsibilities

    Medical Science & Computing is searching for a Lead Sharepoint Developer to provide technical leadership and direction for SharePoint oversite and continued development as well as Web Development support services at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 

    • SharePoint Lead will be the primary liaison between Product Owners/business stakeholders and the technical team.
    • Serve in a leadership capacity for the SharePoint support team, performing upgrades, enhancements and maintenance for the SharePoint platform and various business applications.
    • Assist the government PM with work management coordination, ensure the team follows and executes SOPs to adhere to SP governance, improve on existing processes/SOPs where needed, provide Tier 2 support to end-user community, and provide coaching to junior member on the team for SP issues and tasks.





    • Experience with AWS and Microsoft cloud product offerings
    • Familiarity with OOTB features of SharePoint 2013, 2016, and Microsoft Flow – Setting up lists and libraries, workflows, content types etc.
    • Ability to manage SharePoint servers (OS, DNS, IIS, SSL, patching and configuration)
    • Troubleshoot Server configuration errors
    • Implement best practices
    • Experience configuring and supporting all communications tools and software; including LAN and ISDN access to campus research and administrative data systems (Titan, NED, NIHITS, VEDS, VSOF, Data Warehouse, ADB, etc.)
    • Provide support for database client systems, such as eRA, etc.
    • Ability to maintain the SharePoint multi-tiered system composed of three environments; development/test, staging and production.
    • Ability to manage the servers and SharePoint farm environments, including implementing solutions developed by the SharePoint content team
    • Implement security (in accordance with IC, NIH and Department policies and regulations)
    • Experience using to customize SP features not available through browser
    • Experience with OfficeForms to create and customize forms
    • Experience troubleshooting workflows, InfoPath forms, user permission issues etc.
    • Ability to create and follow SOP documentation to adhere to SharePoint governance
    • Communication skills to interact with end users and customers on a needed basis
    • Ability to mentor/provide directions to junior members on the team
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task issues


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • NIH / HHS experience
    • At least 10 years of experience as SharePoint Administrator
    • At least 5-7 years’ experience as a SharePoint Developer and Designer
    • At least 3-5 years’ experience in leadership roles on SharePoint Projects
    • Experience with Share Point development Farm, Share Point Staging Farm, Share Point Production Farm, SharePoint Collaboration Applications, SharePoint Top Level Sites, SharePoint Backup with DocAve, K2 BlackPerl, Bamboo, SharePoint SQL Backup, SharePoint 3rd party tool suites, NIHEXT Site
    • Experience working on SharePoint projects for at least 3 separate customers, at least one of which was using SharePoint 2013 and Sharepoint 2016
    • Experience developing and managing public facing websites
    • Ability to obtain federal Government Public Trust Clearance
    • MCSE and MCSD Certifications
