    Duties & Responsibilities

    Medical Science & Computing is searching for a DevOps Engineer to support our client at the National Institutes of Health.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Help Develop and continuously improve a modern DevOps pipeline for building, testing, deploying and monitoring thousands of NLM’s apps and services
    • Thrive in a team environment, but also be highly self-motivated.
    • Provide Independent thought and new, creative solutions are vital parts of the project’s past and future success.
    • Culture an environment to learn new tools and techniques.

     

     

    Requirements

    Position Requirements: 

    • A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years proven related experience in the Cloud Server Administrator or DevOps environment.
    • 3+ years Linux (RHEL / Centos) experience.
    • 2+ years SQL experience.
    • Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure
    • Expert in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, C, C++
    • Operations support in a team environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Solid understanding of distributed systems and micro-services

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Kubernetes, Docker
    • AWS experience
    • Terraform, Vault, packer, Vagrant
    • ELK, Splunk
    • Legacy enterprise reengineering experience
    • Deep understanding of HTTP, CGI, FCGI, WSGI
