    Medical Science and Computing is searching for an Enterprise Scrum Master to support a Health IT and Grants Management Program. This opportunity is full time and it is on site in the Washington, DC Metro area.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Skills and Responsibilities:

    • Be the Super-ScrumMaster for running scrum of scrums to lead, manage and coaching multiple scrum masters managing multiple development teams.
    • Supporting and facilitating the operation of Product Owner team, both internally and in stakeholder interfaces
    • Supporting Product Owners, ScrumMasters and Engineering Managers in the development of the product organization and its internal ways of working
    • Working within the organization in extending and supporting Agile as an advocate for the Agile and Scrum methodology
    • As needed, prepare for and facilitate daily scrum meetings, biweekly sprint planning, review, retrospective, backlog grooming meetings, and planning poker sessions for multiple (8-10) technical teams
    • As needed, create, maintain, and organize backlog of features, epics, stories, and tasks in JIRA along with facilitating and prepare for external end-of-sprint demonstrations
    • Meet with product owners and operational business managers for selected modules to introduce scrum and program processes and outline expectations
    • Identify common issues across teams (e.g. communication, UI consistency) and lead the implementation of new solutions
    • Communicate team progress and dependencies with other team leads during scrum of scrums
    • Interface with business, test, and user support teams to receive requirements information and forward updates on feature progress
    • Review and provide feedback on drafted user stories and epics to ensure alignment with general Agile user story standards
    • Work with Chief Software Architect and Enterprise Data Architect as appropriate
    • Create general Agile graphics and PMO with executive briefings



    • B.S. in Computer Science or Equivalent
    • 8 years of experience applying scrum and growing teams as a fulltime Scrum Master
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or similar agile project management certification (PMI-ACP)
    • Experience using agile project management tools, XP, Kanban, preferably JIRA and Confluence
    • Experience-affecting change in organizations working towards agile adoption
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Manages time extremely well, can quickly sense when an issue needs to be discussed or triaged
    • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical


    • M.S in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related field.
    • PMP certification
    • Technology experience software development related to healthcare data warehousing and supporting grants program
    • Experience working in with multi-disciplinary development teams
    • Relevant understanding of CMMI Level 4 Concepts
    • SAFe experience is a plus
    • Experience as a Scrum Master at an organization that is committed to using agile as a core methodology to deliver business value
    • Experience in any part of the software development lifecycle is a plus - as the developer, tester, analyst, product manager, project/program manager, etc.
    • Experience with applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the teams
