    Duties & Responsibilities

    Medical Science & Computing is searching for a Biomedical Information Specialist to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is full-time and is located in Arlington, Virginia, with some travel to Rockville, MD required.

     

    This position will be responsible for supporting the content creation for a large terminology effort. Mapping between terminologies will also be performed.

    Job Duties:

    • Research and create content for NLM’s drug terminology
    • Edit clinical content within a Metathesaurus environment
    • Create mappings between SNOMED CT and ICD versions

    Requirements

     

    Required Skills:

    • Advanced degree in a biomedical field or clinical field
    • Experience with biomedical terminologies
    • Knowledge of drug information resources
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Works well within a team environment
