    Duties & Responsibilities

    Position Summary

    Serves as an Enterprise Architect for a large, complex, grants management task order. The EA shall work with the Government Leads and Senior Advisors and other Customer Agency representatives.


    Skills & Responsibilities:

    • Support the development and maintenance of the technical architecture describing IT infrastructure services.
    • Create Architecture Framework compliant products, using enterprise and technical services from the Joint Architecture Reference Model (JARM) to describe IT shared services in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
    • Provide oversight and technical analysis, evaluate technical documentation, and provide senior clients with recommended solutions.
    • Access architecture repository to extract Enterprise Architecture information to identify integration issues and capability gaps. Serve as an expert in IT systems architecture. Act as a resource for direction, training, and guidance for junior staff and monitor project schedules and costs.
    • Work with stakeholders to define clear project objectives and requirements, agree on priorities, communicate progress updates and demonstrations, and provide responsive change management in frequent planning/re-planning meetings.
    • Work with cross-functional teams with diverse technical skill sets to support successful project completion
    • Raise issues and exceptions; follow-through to resolution.
    • Devise clear risk mitigation strategies and engage appropriate stakeholders.

    • BA Degree
    • Minimum of 7 years with application management and development
    • Must have a deep technical understanding of operating system and various development frameworks, platforms, application security, and related technologies.
    • Experience in applying agile development methodologies
    • Successful track record in delivering value through successful project results that meet business requirements
    • Experience with SOA, Web Services, Content Management, Business Intelligence, Virtualization/Cloud, Hosting/IaaS, Portal/Web/Client Server Applications, Data Architecture, Identity Management, Search Engines / NoSQL Databases, ERP Implementations, Storage Consolidation, Data Lakes, Cloud based analytics, IT Governance, Data Governance, Micro Services
    • Experience as a manager
    • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Client interface experience; proven experience managing client expectations & relationships
    • Prior experience managing and/or participating in large, integrated teams including client and other third-party vendors
    • Experience in research organizations
    • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
